Loch Lomond 2009 bottling for dramtime.nl 10 years 53.2% (muscat finish)

An OB Loch Lomond bottled for dramtime.nl.

Colour Gold.

Nose Very fruity. Melons (surprise!). Melon jellies. Caramel. Wine is quite detectable. Orange sherbet. Royales: marshmallow and jam, biscuits. Desiccated coconut. Lamington.

Palate Quite sweet, winey. Lemon and orange acidity. Melons and strawberry jellies: I cannot underestimate how strong this note is! Creamy, oily mouthfeel. A little spicy: cinnamon.

Finish Jellies and chai latte. Chilli spice. Quite hot! A little herbal. Rosemary and lavender.

Comments The artificial fruit jelly note (probably from the finish) and the Loch Lomond trademark melon work perfectly together. Lovely stuff. 86/100.
